Engineers
who own
the result.
Acyclic is a standalone software engineering firm founded by Graham Goudeau, an engineer. We build systems that have to work in the conditions in which they are used.
Independent by design. Direct about the work.
Why Acyclic exists.
Many valuable software projects fail in the handoff between a specification and an operating environment. The people who know the work are separated from the people writing the system. The last mile becomes somebody else's problem.
Acyclic works close to the client. Senior engineers learn the workflow, use agents to move through implementation, and stay responsible for the result. We define acceptance criteria before building because a deployment should be judged by observable behavior, not by how much code was produced.
That approach is especially important when the system moves money, keeps the record, coordinates field work, or puts a model near a consequential decision.

FOUNDER / ENGINEER
Work at the source
Understand the operator and the record before designing the interface.
Use agents deliberately
Let agents carry implementation while engineers retain judgment and accountability.
Finish at acceptance
Deploy in the agreed environment and verify the behavior the client needs.
Talk directly with Acyclic.
Tell us the system, the constraint, and the deadline. We will tell you if we can take responsibility for the result.
